From basic, beginner training classes to advanced level skills, our training classes are designed to meet both you and your dog’s needs. All of our classes provide hands-on training to help you and your dog build a long-lasting and rewarding relationship. Our positive approach ensures learning and growth while still having fun. CaNine to Five offers training in everything from good manners and basic obedience to more advanced classes that will continue your dog on the road to happiness and obedience.  

Good communication is critical to building a great relationship between you and your dog. Every dog is an individual and we will work with you to find the tools and techniques that allow you and your dog to communicate best and achieve a happy balance. Group Training Classes

Saturday Social  - On Hold

An hour of play for the dogs while parents watch and learn the ins and outs of appropriate dog socialization.  Owners learn the basics of dog play and body language so that owners are better prepared to introduce their dogs to social settings like dog parks and public events.  This is a pay-to-play  class so dogs are welcome to join as often, or little, as they'd like!

Please Note: We must have a minimum of four dogs to hold class so pre-registration is highly recommended
Held every Saturday - 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.  

CaNine Good Citizen Certification

Our 6-week CGC course and test leading to certification upon successful completion of all components. For information on testing requirements, go HERE

Therapy Dog & AKC Community CaNine Prep

This is a combined 6-week group class for those who are looking to have their dog go on to receive Therapy Dog certification or the AKC Community Canine title. The evaluation fee for each test is not included in the cost of this class and is payable to the evaluator.

Puppy Kindergarten

Proper socialization, especially for young puppies, is very important! Join us so you and your pup can start off on the right foot! This 6-week class is open to puppies under nine months who have their age-appropriate vaccinations.

Next class will start on Sunday, November 5 at 10 a.m. OR Thursday, November 9 at 6:15 p.m.  Contact us to register!

AKC Star Puppy Class

Proper socialization, especially for young puppies, is very important! Join us so you and your pup can start off on the right foot! This 6-week class is open to puppies 3 to 12 months who have their age-appropriate vaccinations. We will cover all topics in the AKC's Star Puppy program, with the test being held week 6. **NEW** Puppy Agility
It's never too early to start your puppy in dog agility! This is a six week agility course designed for specifically for puppies and their level of development.  We will introduce the little ones to agility obstacles, work on handling skills with parents and play foundation games.  It's open to puppies age 3-12 months and age-apropriate vaccinatons are required.

Prerequisite: Puppy Kindergarten or approval by instructor. Cost is $150 for the six weeks.

Intermediate Group Class

This is a great option for those who have completed a puppy or beginner obedience class and want to continue to improve their pup's skills with the next level of 6-week classes.

Outdoor Advanced

This is a more advanced class for dogs who have previously been through training at an intermediate level. In this class we will go to various locations to work on obedience cues. We work on long lines to prepare for off leash training, add in more distractions, expect longer stay durations and work on strict heeling in multiple places plus other important cues.

Reactive Dog Group Training

This is a higher-level obedience 6-week class focused on teaching impulse control to dogs who exhibit fearful or excitable behaviors when faced with new dogs, people or situations.

Obedience in the Park

Join us for a night out with your best friend! In this drop-in class, we will be working on a variety of obedience skills, including items from CaNine Good Citizen/Therapy Dog, Obedience and Rally Obedience. We will be working outdoors among some great distractions. Cost is $25 per drop in.

Advanced Walking

Does your dog need some polishing of his or her walking manners? This group class builds on the foundation skills learned in the All About Walking group class and is located outside at public venues when weather permits. This is a 6-week course, but drop-in sessions are permissible for $25.

Novice Competition Obedience

A great class for teaching the basic skills for novice level competition obedience trials for both AKC and ASCA obedience programs...or just a fun way to bond with your dog and polish their manners!

Beginner Agility 1

Dog agility is a popular sport in which dogs and handlers navigate obstacles, racing against the clock. Dogs soar over jumps, run through tunnels, balance a seesaw, slalom through weave poles and more! It's a great physical and mental workout for both members of the team, and tons of fun for dogs and people alike! Any breed or mixed breed can do agility, and it's a fun way to bond with your dog. In this class, dogs will be introduced to agility obstacles and humans will learn handling skills to navigate through courses. Dogs should be at least 4 months old and have basic obedience skills prior to taking this class.

Beginner Agility 2

This class is a continuation of our Beginner Agility for dogs who have taken our first course or who have taken a basic class elsewhere and have foundational skills. Dogs will be challenged with new agility obstacles while working on advanced handling skills.
